Considered the more feral and primitive of the Hikari, they are much more intelligent than your average bird and are generally a corvid, or a bird of prey of some variety. While they are capable of understanding Common, they cannot speak it. They can converse fluently in the avian tongue. They see all of the breeds of hikari as their 'flock' and are quite content in calling all the lovely perches in the floating islands their home. If Tori are ever interested in work, they often work as messengers or gatherers in collecting a variety of 'shinies', odds and ends, produce, etc. Some of those born of raptor genetics often participate in hunting prey with Harpies or Seraphs.
